Nilai-nilai kesatuan merupakan warisan  dari Sumpah Pemuda yang telah diikrarkan oleh para pemuda Indonesia dalam peristiwa Sumpah Pemuda 28 Oktober 1928. Para pemuda bersumpah untuk Bertumpah Darah Yang Satu Tanah Indonesia, Berbangsa Yang Satu Bangsa Indonesia dan Menjunjung Bahasa Persatuan Bahasa Indonesia.
